NGS High School students immerse themselves in Korean culture
As part of NGS High School’s Career Navigation initiative, students went to an exciting camp in Korea hosted by leading company Ksimple.
Students at NGS High School met with an intensive program that included 28 hours of intensive Korean lessons from local teachers and native speakers. All participants received a certificate from the Language Center at the prestigious EWHA University (EWHA Language Center).
At the end of the lessons, the guys went on exciting campus tours of top universities in Korea and the world:
- Seoul National University (#1 in Korea, #41 in the world)
- Korea University (#3 in Korea, #79 in the world)
- Yonsei University (#4 in Korea, #76 in the world)
- Kyung Hee University (#8 in Korea, #300-350 in the world)
- EWHA Womans University (#12, #450-500 in the world)
Students also immersed themselves in a rich cultural program, including cooking traditional dishes, visiting the National Museum of Korea, a master class in modern K-Pop dances, creating a traditional name seal, visiting the Olympic Village in PyeongChang, and a master class on admission to Korean universities.
This trip not only enriched the students’ knowledge of the Korean language, but also provided an incomparable experience in immersing themselves in the culture and way of life of Korea, as well as introducing them to study opportunities at the country’s leading universities.
