The concept of the middle school is to maintain and increase interest in learning

The developed NGS program has been expanded with additional subjects and techniques promoting continuous generation and aggregation of analytical, logical, critical, panoramic, strategic, conceptual thinking.

Individual education plan

  • Individual development pathway

    NGS curriculum consists of basic and advanced subjects. To build an individual pathway, school provides subject differentiation in the following areas: mathematical subjects, physics, chemistry, biology and languages. Also, the individual development pathway is facilitated by choosing orientation of extended learning according to aptitudes, interests and goals for the future.

  • Mathematical orientation

    For a deeper immersion in the NGS mathematical orientation, extra hours within curriculum and tutoring hours have been added. Syllabus of mathematical subjects has been expanded by the additional class “Practical Mathematics”, where students learn effective solutions, develop deeper logical thinking, and increase the level of mathematical culture in a practical and semantic context.

  • Digital literacy

    Unique methods for teaching ICT and Robotics for grades 0-11 have been introduced into basic education. To ensure digital security, together with Alma TV, we created lessons that were broadcast throughout the Republic and are used in the NGS program. Lessons are given in specially organized classrooms: Robo Lab, Apple Class Room, as well as in programming rooms.

  • Olympiad movement

    The school contest movement is an important component of developing students' interests, abilities and talents. NGS is organizing an “Olympic Reserve” team comprising of students focused on preparing for participation in Olympiads. In the afternoon, the team gathers for the “Olympiad Movement” class and performs non-standard tasks, “ingenuity” tasks, and solves Olympiad problems.

  • Participation in Projects

    Project activity is an important part of educational process within the curriculum. Introduction to projects begins in the “Science through Project Activities” class in PRIMARY SCHOOL and segues to micro-research in science, mathematics, language and other classes in secondary school. Work is also carried out on projects during extracurricular activities, when visiting museums and theaters, where, through project activities, students learn to apply new solutions and defend their opinions.

  • Learning of languages

    Quality teaching of English and Kazakh languages at NGS provides an increased number of hours under the main program, as well as applied methods appropriate for this age category, positively affecting quality and speed of perceived information. Curriculum has been expanded by additional subjects that improve quality of communication, speaking and learning motivation. Language is acquired using CLIL method at “Beyond the books” and “Soz oneri” classes.

  • Physical health

    Physical health is one of the important areas at NGS. School provides balanced meals and hosts many sports events. The infrastructure allows for the maximum involvement of students and harmonious implementation of the child’s needs in sports. Physical Education classes are supplemented with classes of Swimming, Boxing and Zumba. Students choose classes depending on their personal interests.

  • Creativity and art

    NGS has developed and implemented educational program “New Drama. Communicator Skills,” where students learn basics of communication, public speaking, motivational talks, speaking, and rules of communication on social networks. Basics of applied labor are studied at “The Art of Applied Labor” class. In the second part of the day, students can choose extracurricular classes: “Pottery”, “Theater Studio”, “Vocal”, drumming, piano and much more.
