“Bright Mile NGS” charity run will take place in Almaty.

In Almaty, at the Central stadium of the city on April 13, a charity race "Bright Mile NGS" will be held dedicated to the" Purple Day " - the day of dissemination of information about epilepsy around the world.

In Kazakhstan, "Purple day" came relatively recently and this year for the first time it was decided to mark this date with a large sports event, and mainly with the participation of children.

The public Fund "Ken Zhurek", which is the first Fund in Kazakhstan to support people with epilepsy, together with New Generation School organized the charity race" Bright mile NGS", with the financial support of the General sponsor"RBK Bank".

The event was also supported by the Central stadium of Almaty, the international Humanitarian organization "Rotary International", "Kazakhstan League against epilepsy"and the brand "Agusha".

More than 500 students of the New Generation school - NGS and their parents will participate in the event on this day, and all registration fees will be directed to the charitable activities of the "Ken Zhurek"Foundation.

The history of the Purple day institution goes back to 2008, when a Scottish girl, Cassidy Megan, who has epilepsy, called on this day to support all people with this diagnosis. Her initiative was supported by the Nova Scotia epilepsy Association, and a year later more than a hundred thousand students across Europe joined the action. Since then, every year since March 26, various events and charity events dedicated to "Purple Day"are held around the world.
